In Greek word, mono means single, but in Biology it means a glandular fever or an infectious mononucleosis. The ailment is caused by EBV or Epstein Barr virus, in some cases known as cytomegalovirus. The virus is a known relative of herpes simplex. It does not select what kind of people to affect, all people of all ages of different ages can possibly have that widespread virus but it triggers more the young adults or adolescents. It’s a little complicated because infected people don’t generally see symptoms of it like having feelings of indifference or abnormalities. It’s a dangerous one because even if you had surpassed it, it has a capability to reactivate and get back for any time and it will just do without any symptoms.

The symptoms of mono may differ depending on the person. It includes inflamed lymph glands in different parts of the body especially on the neck and armpits. The person can also experience fever, fatigue and even sore throat or enlarged spleen. Other people especially the adolescents may experience symptoms of mono like feeling pain on the abdomen, aching of the muscles, headaches, becomes dizzy and may even get depressed and lose appetite. Physically, the person may have skin rashes, have enlarged prostrate, swelled genitals and swollen eyes.
The symptoms of mononucleosis in some ways are similar to other medical ailment that’s why it is very important to consult a doctor whenever there’s anything that bothers you physically or emotionally to treat mono fast.
