Multiple sclerosis usually appear between the ages 20 – 40. It affects your brain that can cause you to have problems with vision, balance and muscle controls. It is common in women than men.
There are many symptoms of MS but you cannot have them all at the same time. Some people with this condition are affected differently. The symptoms of MS can be visual, motor, coordination, bowel and bladder, sexual, cognitive, etc. These are the signs that you have Multiple Sclerosis.
• Eye pain, blurred vision or double vision
• Muscle weakness or Paralysis
• Loss of sensation or numbness
• Loss of coordination and balance
• Sexual Difficulties
• Inability to release waste
• Bladder problems
• Poor memory that can be short-term or long-term
• Difficulty speaking and swallowing
• Depression
• Respiratory problems
• Inability to taste and smell
• Seizures
Other symptoms of MS may arise as the disease develops. Some people with MS can experience fatigue, which is common. It happens in the afternoon that can increase dizziness or sleepiness, muscle and mental fatigue. They are also sensitive to heat and it happens when take they a bath or shower for example.
The causes of MS are not fully understood but there are some factors that trigger the condition. It can be sometimes inherited especially if you have a first-degree relative who has MS. The environment can also be a cause in which a virus or bacteria can trigger your body’s immune system. However, residing in some countries away from the equator can increase the risk of having a Multiple sclerosis.
There is really no cure for MS but there are treatments to help them deal with their condition.
It is crucial that you exercise regularly to improve your muscle strength and eat a balanced diet.
